Forty years ago Leon began working for a specialty fabricating company in the bay area where he learned his craft and became a master metal fabricator. It wasn't long before he became a partner of the corporation at the age of 26. Later, he became corporate president. In 1982, Leon sold the business -- four years later he purchased their present location in Martell, CA, and Parkey's Welding Design was launched - a custom metal fabrication business emphasizing hand-fabricated specialty products -- unique, artistic, and hand-forged products.

baptismal bowl. Much of his work is on display at one of Jackson's most exclusive restaurants, conference center, and hotel combo. Also, in an estate near Mammoth Lakes, one customer had Leon place over $200,000 worth of his craftsmanship into their home over the last several years. Because of Leon's gifts and talents in working with wrought iron, bronze, and copper, the owners had elaborate curved stair casings installed in addition to commissioning many unique, one-of-a-kind projects and items to adorn their special mountain retreat. Read what the Granite Bay contractor below says about Leon's work.
S.S. (Jackson) - "Leon was referred to us by the contractor who built our home. He did our front gate, side gate, headboard, table, and an old Mexican style storm door. I recommend him to everyone. He is artistic, he listens to you, knows what works best, and is willing to work with you with your design. He very easy to get to know - there is no one like him. He is always on time and there are no problems with him not calling you back."
M.C. Contractor (Granite Bay) - "He was referred to me by another contractor. In our industry, we don't exactly attract rocket scientists. When you find someone with integrity, honesty, and one who works hard, you hold on to them and are happy to pass on his name to others. He has done custom beds, furniture, art work, custom hardware, custom hinges, gates, stair railings, custom hoods plus much more. His work is fantastic. He is one of the few good ones."
C.S. (Sutter Creek) - "H___ , yes I would recommend him. He is very creative and really knows his business. I ran across Leon through the contractor who built our home. Parkey's Welding did the fence all around our property and the electronic gate. I am happy to help, Leon, and recommend him to anyone who asks."
